Though I have shared a variety of newcomer’s impressions about different aspects of Las Fallas, there is a great deal more that could be said, and many experienced people that have put energy into saying it. I can’t resist posting a few more pictures of Fallas costumes. Most of these were taken before or during the procession to bring flower offerings to La Plaza de la Virgen as Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados.
My mom has a big old trunk full of costumes and dress-ups at her house, and for many of her grandchildren it has been the source of much pleasure over the years.
