The Christ Child: A Nativity Story

What has happened to my schedule? Loquita asked me yesterday, Dec. 3, where the advent calendar was, and I just looked startled. It’s not like I didn’t know that December had begun—I had met a couple of December 1st deadlines on time. But clearly I had fallen down on an important job. I found the calendar today, and the kids have begun trading off moving the little felt donkey with Mary and Joseph from one numbered square to the next.

Given my slow start into the month, I wanted to share this video before any more time passed. You’ll find familiar elements, but the language choice means that there’s plenty to wonder about. I hope you enjoy it.

  1. 🙂 I especially enjoy this interpretation and, now having birthed a son of my own, it has new meaning and poignancy 🙂 ❤ So grateful for Jesus Christ — and Mary + Joseph as parents!
